One of Rustic Country Cottage's favorite items, this black wire courting candle adds charm to any room. Stand measures 6 1/2" high and holds one white 6" taper cadle (included). The story behind this candle from days of old is that when a fella came to court a father's daughter, the candle height would be adjusted to burn longer if the father thought the gentleman caller would make a suitable husband for his daughter. The higher the candle, the longer the couple were allowed to stay out.
